Settle-Five Minute Friday on Sunday

We have made it to Easter Sunday and the end of Spring Break. I find myself meditating on what this special day is about and what truly happened over two thousand years ago. It is a reality that brings hope and healing to everyone throughout the world who will receive the message and accept what was accomplished. This week's prompt is defined as:"resolve or reach an agreement about an argument or problem." Our word for the week is.........

Settle

A huge chasm

Deep and dark

Filled with horrendous evil

Rebellion against God

An outstanding account

Blood of bulls and lambs

Would never cover

Needing a resolution

Some way and someone

To help settle

A dark, dark, day

An agreement reached

A final sacrifice

To cover both you and me

Paid in full

Accepted for life

Resolution for joy

Problem of every sin erased

Once and for all

The account is closed

Balance paid in full

Credited to our account

Now and forevermore

STOP

Matthew 27:51-53 "And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom and the earth shook and the rocks were split. The tombs were opened and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many." (NASB)
