Five Minute Friday-WAIT!

On this snowy day, I had time to scribe in the morning  and now I can post. This week's prompt is wait.

Worrying or wallowing

As time passes by

Increasingly

Takes its toll

Wait a minute. It seems we spend so much of our time waiting. What do we do with it?  Some don't know what to do with themselves or the time unless they are worrying or wallowing in the woes of life.  Some are wishing and hoping and praying, while others may just enjoy the moment.  Each day and year is a new gift as we wait to see what unfolds. May we find rest in waiting for the One who knows what everything entails, so that we are not wasting time worrying and wallowing in distress.

SHARE for Five Minute Friday

Suffering can be

Halved when

Another

Reaches out to the

Embittered soul

Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. Our troubles are not so trying when someone SHARES the burden with us and our blessings are even sweeter when we can spread them around. I don't SHARE my deepest struggles with just anyone or everyone, but I am so thankful for the people I can SHARE with. There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. I only pray that i may be that friend to someone as well.

SEND Five Minute Friday

I decided to let this simmer a bit after peeking at the prompt late Thursday night and so here I am today on Sunday to type.

Something put in a package or

Envelope or email

Noteworthy of passing along or needed

Deemed beneficial for the other it's sent to

"You've got mail!"  was so exciting when it first became part of our world and language.  Now anything and everything is sent via email today out of convenience, but how much of it is necessary?  The sender believes it is beneficial for the receiver OR they are looking to benefit themselves in some way.

Christians know and believe the greatest something or someone was sent from heaven above for the benefit of all; sent out of love, with mankind's best in mind.

WELCOME- Five Minute Friday in 2015

When and where

Everyone

Loves you and makes you feel

Comfortable even if you come in from the

Outside. You can

Make friends with

Each person there, where you are welcome

I composed the above this morning and wrote something else to follow it, but now that I am typing it on my blog I am compelled to alter it. It may not follow the rule, but as I think more on what WELCOME truly means, I was brought back to my teen years.

At age 15 I went to live with another family who became my legal guardians due to extenuating circumstances in my own family. They gave me my own room and painted it pink. They brought me to church with them where people happily greeted me each Sunday with smiles and great big hugs. I didn't know any of these people, but they sure seemed to like me even though I came from the outside. It was their warm welcome and acceptance that wooed me towards Christ.Today, I still see some of them and we continue to enjoy a long lasting friendship and fellowship together on Sundays.

I am so thankful for that memory and more importantly, the people who helped to create it. I want to WELCOME more and more, not just because I was shown such kindness, but because we never know what people are going through at the time. Our kindness could help change their lives forever, for the better. I know mine was!
